Delete your Prata Lang account

The fastest way: in the app

Open Prata Lang, go to Profile → Account, and tap Delete account. You will be asked to confirm twice, and the deletion happens immediately.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Email hello@pratalang.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify the request comes from the registered address and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

your account and email address
your lesson progress, streaks and daily activity
saved and bookmarked words, and their review scheduling
achievements
saved transcripts of your conversations with the AI tutor

None of it is recoverable afterwards, and there is no grace period once the in-app deletion completes.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove saved conversations. Open any saved conversation in the app and use Delete to remove that transcript on its own; your account, progress and saved words are untouched.

What is not held in your account

Audio of your voice. Speech is streamed to our speech provider during a conversation and is never stored by us, so there is nothing to delete.
Your subscription. Billing is handled by Google Play or the App Store, not by us. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your Google Play or App Store account settings, or you will continue to be charged.

Cancel any active subscription before deleting your account. Once the account is gone we cannot look up your purchase to help.

Backups

Deleted data may persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days, after which the backups expire and it is gone for good. It is not readable or restorable into the app during that time.
